Bring out your green! St. Patrick’s Day, observed every March 17th, is packed with good luck charms, and all things green. The event started as a religious holiday, but over time it’s become a celebration of Irish culture. Leprechauns are actually one reason you’re supposed to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day, or risk getting pinched! The tradition is tied to folklore that says wearing green makes you invisible to leprechauns, which like to pinch anyone they can see. Some people also think wearing the color will bring good luck! St. Patrick’s Day is a fun holiday to do a ton of fun things with your family and friends, like having a shamrock cookie decorating contest or even trying to learn how to Irish dance! Have you tried a shamrock shake from McDonald’s yet? Make sure you don’t miss out. Go grab a milkshake before they’re gone, but don’t forget to rock your green and have a great St. Patty’s day!
