This week we introduce Michael Avery, who is taking part in this year's WPIALS to swim in the 200-yard freestyle. Michael is a junior in highschool, who takes part in NHS as well as his swim team.Michael has been on the LWCY swim team for seven years. Since then, he has made districts every year, along with making States last year with his relay team. Michael, the oldest on his team, shows his leadership by currently taking a hard role of being the captain. As we all know, balancing school life and athletic life is not always the easiest: However, Michael does a good job of excelling in both. Make sure if you see Michael you wish him good luck!
