Senior Paige Harding

by Breah Dewberry

We talked to 2024 senior Paige Harding this week for our senior spotlight. Paige has gone to Laurel since the second grade. Throughout her time at Laurel, Paige says her experience was long and eventful. One of Paige’s favorite parts of high school was track because it gave her something fun to do. In track, Paige competed in shot put, discus, long jump, 100 and 200 meter dash, and the 100-meter hurdle. Her fastest time in the 100-meter dash was 21 seconds. Her fastest time for the 100-meter dash was 19 seconds. She earned her letter during her junior year.

Outside of sports, Paige had overall good grades. The teacher that was most impactful in Paige’s career at Laurel was Mrs. McGarrah because she was always so helpful and she cared about her work. After high school, Paige plans to either go into the Army Reserves or Army full time. The advice Paige gives to underclassmen is “Pay attention, I didn’t. It’s not worth it.” So pay attention in class! Good luck Paige on all your future endeavors!

Paige's favorite quote: “The people I respect the least are the ones that take themselves too seriously.”
