Section Champs

On Friday October 24th, the Laurel Spartans upset the Neshannock Lancers to earn the Section Championship title. The Spartans defeated the Lancers 14-7. Kolton Carlson rushed for a total of 91 yards, helping the Spartans by scoring a touchdown to get the Spartans in the lead. Nathan Hill scored the other touchdown for the Spartans, rushing a total of 83 yards. Ethan Hamilia made an outstanding play, blocking a field goal with 4 minutes left, leading to the final score to win the game. Jack Miles had a total of 16 tackles, and Alex Medved and Tyler Fuchs had 2 sacks each. Finally senior kicker Maya Jarrett kicked 2 extra points to keep the Spartans momentum going. The Spartans will continue their run in playoffs, this Friday October 31st. Good luck to our Spartans!!
