Ghouls
I’m sure everyone has heard of a ghost before and maybe they’ve heard of a ghoul but people usually confuse the two nevertheless put your minds at ease, I’m here to tell you the difference so you can be sure to avoid one! A ghost is widely considered the remaining spirit from a being but a ghoul is thought to be a demon-like being or some sort of heinous humanoid. Over the years the meaning of the word has also morphed into an insult for a person whose job directly involves death, like a mortician or a gravedigger. However in famous folklore, the creature known as a ghoul has been known to lodge in cemeteries or other uninhabited places. A ghoul will lure a person into an abandoned place to devour them.
The infamous creature is said to pray on young children, eat the dead, drink blood, steal coins, and steal from a person who has been recently eaten. Be sure to be careful at night as they are said to only appear after dusk!
