Super Senior Nora Johns
by Bridget Hartle
Nora Johns has made the most of her high school years by dedicating herself to both music and athletics. Over the past eight years, she has been an active member of the Concert Band, as well as spending six years in the Marching Band and four years in the Choir. In addition to her musical talents, Nora competed in Cross Country for four years, balancing long practices, performances, and meets with determination and pride.
Some of Nora’s favorite high school memories include performing with the band at Heinz Field and traveling on her eighth-grade Disney trip. Both experiences allowed her to represent her school while creating unforgettable moments with friends and teammates.
Her leadership stands out as one of her greatest strengths. Nora served as Drum Major of the Laurel Spartan Marching Band, guiding fellow musicians with confidence and dedication. She was also named team captain of the Laurel Spartan Girls Cross Country team, further demonstrating her ability to lead, motivate, and inspire those around her.
Outside of school, Nora works nearly every day, demonstrating the same work ethic she shows in her activities. After graduation, she is fully committed to attending Slippery Rock University, where she plans to major in Psychology and minor in Criminology as she begins the next chapter of her journey.
Good luck with your future endeavors!
