A Beloved Season
by Lillyana Knox
It’s almost the most magical time of the year! Not Christmas; fall. The greatest season of all. Fall is the perfect time of the year, it’s warm, yet chilly, the leaves turn beautiful colors of bright red, orange, and yellow, you can smell cinnamon and candy. Pumpkin pies are everywhere along with Thanksgiving feasts with turkey doused in gravy, mashed potatoes, and whatever other food you like to eat on Thanksgiving. On Halloween, the greatest holiday of the year, you can go trick or treating to get candy, or you can give out candy and save the majority of it for yourself. There are decorations everywhere and pumpkin carving, along with sweet candy apples.
My point of all of this is that getting in the spirit of Fall is what we should all be doing. I know it’s still warm out, but break out your sweaters and your cinnamon scented everything, hang up your lights, put out your sweet Snoopy fall decorations, buy some candy corn and an abundance of chocolate covered marshmallows, buy your pumpkins, get to carving an adorable jack-o-lantern, and get ready for the most magical time of the year, and the best season there is.
