Sr Brayden Smith

by Breah Dewberry

This week's senior spotlight is Brayden Smith. Brayden’s favorite part of his high school experience was football which he was involved with throughout all of his four years. He played as a wide receiver and cornerback. After high school, Brayden wants to continue playing football while he studies at a four year college.

Brayden’s one word to describe his time at Laurel is “Unforgettable.” When we asked him what teacher impacted him most he said the lovely Mrs. Hites because “Making food in school is unbeatable.”

As we all know, you only get to be a high school senior once in your life (preferably), so there will always be things you will miss. When we asked Smith what he will miss most he said his friends. One thing he does regret about high school is not taking it as seriously during his underclassmen years. Some advice he would give to the underclassmen is “Enjoy every moment, it goes faster than you think.” Brayden wants to thank his parents, Mark and Alicia Smith, for always believing in him.

Although it is bittersweet seeing more of this year's graduating class leave us, we wish them all the best for the future. Good luck Brayden!
